In what many are calling the game of the season, Donovan Mitchell erupted for 42 points to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a dominant 118-102 victory over the Boston Celtics at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

Mitchell was unconscious from the opening tip, hitting his first five shots including three deep three-pointers. By halftime, he already had 28 points and the Cavs led by 15.

A Statement Performance

"This is what we're about," Mitchell said postgame. "This team, this city, we're built for the big moments."

Darius Garland added 22 points and 11 assists, while Evan Mobley contributed a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. The defense held Boston to 39% shooting from the field.

The victory moves Cleveland to 48-18 on the season, solidifying their position as the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
